Making 5G Tangible Through Live Holographic Interaction
TCS wanted to demonstrate the capabilities of its 5G technology at Indian Mobile Congress 2023 through an interactive experience that went beyond a conventional pitch deck. The challenge was to help visitors understand the practical value of high-speed, low-latency connectivity through direct interaction rather than a technical explanation.
ImmersionX designed a two-part experience demonstrating real-time connectivity between separate exhibits. A presenter was captured live on camera at one location and transmitted to a BeamBoxx immersive pod at another, where visitors could see their lifelike projection and interact with them in real time. The experience demonstrated how 5G enables seamless live streaming and real-time interaction across locations.
By combining live video capture, real-time transmission, and BeamBoxx’s immersive display, ImmersionX enabled TCS to demonstrate the practical potential of its 5G ecosystem. Visitors could interact with a presenter captured at another location, experiencing first-hand how high-speed, low-latency connectivity enables real-time communication and remote presence across locations.
