An object recognition-based interactive AR showroom that helped customers visualize furniture fittings in realistic environments.
Hettich wanted to move from traditional product brochures to help its customers understand its products.
They wanted to know how they could demonstrate the value of their products by:
ImmersionX created an interactive virtual showroom using immersive 3D visualization and object recognition to bring Hettich products to life in realistic home environments. Visitors used physical markers to explore virtual kitchens, wardrobes, bedrooms, and living spaces, enabling them to open kitchen cabinets and experience precision-engineered hinge systems, operate sliding wardrobe doors through realistic motion simulations, interact with drawer systems showcasing smooth movement and durability, and explore products within fully furnished residential environments.
Within the same 3D environment, visitors can select any hardware component to pull up detailed specs and an exploded CAD view, breaking the fitting into its individual engineered parts, without leaving the immersive scene or restarting the experience.
A built-in configurator lets visitors swap finishes, compare product variants side-by-side, and save their preferred combinations, with selections automatically emailed to them, turning a showroom visit into a ready-made reference for later purchase decisions.
The virtual showroom transformed Hettich’s product presentation through contextual, experience-led storytelling.
Customers could explore its products in realistic environments, gaining a clearer understanding of their functionality, craftsmanship, and design.
By combining immersive visualization, digital interaction, and contextual storytelling, ImmersionX simplified technical communication and helped customers make more informed decisions.
