AI, IoT, & Cloud Computing on display in Accenture's soccer simulation

AI Soccer simulation for Accenture

When the Museum of Solutions, JSW, sought to develop an advanced, immersive educational space for children, they approached ImmersionX for expertise in designing interactive exhibits that combined education with engagement. We were tasked with creating a series of exhibits for the Discover Floor that would transform traditional learning into an interactive, hands-on experience.

At Accenture, technology meets experience in innovative ways. We developed an immersive, cloud-powered soccer simulation to demonstrate the real-world potential of advanced tech solutions. Using soccer as the medium, this experience showcased Accenture’s capabilities in IoT, AI, machine learning, and cloud computing. This wasn’t just a game; it was an example of how businesses can harness real-time data for impactful decision-making and insights.

The challenge

Our task was to create an experience that didn’t just replicate a sport but demonstrated how Accenture’s technology can solve complex problems through real-time data processing and analysis. The soccer simulation was chosen as a means to showcase the powerful capabilities of these technologies in action, providing tangible insights through a fun and interactive medium.

Design to reality

To address the client’s need for a real-time, data-driven demonstration of their solutions, we designed a soccer simulation that utilised advanced technologies like IoT, AI, machine learning, and cloud computing.

We embedded IoT sensors into a soccer ball and strategically placed additional sensors around the room to capture key data points during gameplay. A virtual soccer field and goal post were projected, with players selecting a goalkeeper based on real-world statistics. These stats were incorporated into the virtual goalkeeper, adding a layer of realism.

When the player kicked the ball, the sensors captured data such as spin, speed, and trajectory. This information was processed instantly using edge computing, with the data sent to the cloud for further analysis. The player’s performance stats were then displayed on the screen in real time.

This solution effectively demonstrated how Accenture’s technology could process and analyse real-time data, offering clients a tangible example of its potential to deliver actionable insights and enhance decision-making.

The impact

The soccer simulation was more than just a game—it was a powerful demonstration of how Accenture’s digital solutions can drive real-world business improvements. Through this interactive experience, audiences were able to see firsthand how AI, IoT, and cloud technologies can transform data into actionable insights, enhancing decision-making and improving processes across various industries. This interactive digital solution highlighted the future of tech-driven problem-solving in a practical, engaging way.
