Siemens immerses visitors in the future of infrastructure

When the Museum of Solutions, JSW, sought to develop an advanced, immersive educational space for children, they approached ImmersionX for expertise in designing interactive exhibits that combined education with engagement. We were tasked with creating a series of exhibits for the Discover Floor that would transform traditional learning into an interactive, hands-on experience.

The challenge

How do you take the intricate world of digital transformation and make it not just understandable but exciting? Siemens needed to present their innovations in a way that would capture attention, spark curiosity, and make the information stick. The challenge was to create a space where visitors could experience the future of infrastructure and energy, all while feeling like they were part of the journey.

Design to reality

We started by reimagining what a trade show display could be. For the Smart Infrastructure exhibit, we designed a 3-sided interactive display that wrapped visitors in a visual narrative. This wasn’t just a screen; it was a portal into the future, where every touch brought the story of Siemens’ technology to life. Visitors could interact with the content, exploring different facets of Smart Infrastructure in a way that felt personal and intuitive.

For the Power & Gas booth, we took a different approach. We built a scale model of a substation, and this model was alive with information. Paired with an L-shaped screen and controlled by a tablet, this setup allowed visitors to dive deep into the evolution of power distribution. The tablet interface was a tool for discovery, guiding users through a journey from traditional methods to Siemens’ solutions.

The impact

The result was a hit. Visitors didn’t just see Siemens’ innovations—they experienced them. The immersive displays turned complex technologies into engaging stories that resonated long after the event was over.

Siemens didn’t just showcase their advancements; they invited people into their world, creating connections that were as informative as they were memorable
