An immersive simulation that transformed soccer into an intelligent performance experience.
As part of its Innovation Hub, Accenture, a global consulting and technology organization envisioned an interactive sports analytics platform that demonstrated how artificial intelligence, sensor technologies, edge computing, and immersive visualization could work together to create intelligent training environments.
Rather than developing a conventional soccer game, the objective was to showcase how real-world physical actions could be captured, analysed, and translated into meaningful digital insights through connected technologies.
The experience was designed to:
ImmersionX developed a soccer analytics simulator combining physical gameplay, AI-powered analytics, and immersive visualization.
Visitors selected iconic FIFA World Cup penalty scenarios on a tablet and took real penalty kicks using a UWB sensor-enabled football. Each shot was instantly tracked and analyzed, with the kick recreated in a Unity-powered virtual stadium and compared against historical match data.
Key technologies included:
By integrating hardware, AI, cloud, edge computing, and immersive content, ImmersionX transformed complex technologies into an intuitive and engaging sports experience.
The soccer analytics simulator showcased how sensors, AI, immersive visualization, and real-time analytics can work together to transform physical actions into actionable insights.
Beyond sports, the platform demonstrated how these technologies can be used across sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, workforce training, predictive analytics, and digital twins.
By integrating advanced technologies into an intuitive experience, ImmersionX turned complex enterprise innovation into an engaging showcase for clients, partners, and global visitors.
