Hampi in a new light

When the Museum of Solutions, JSW, sought to develop an advanced, immersive educational space for children, they approached ImmersionX for expertise in designing interactive exhibits that combined education with engagement. We were tasked with creating a series of exhibits for the Discover Floor that would transform traditional learning into an interactive, hands-on experience.

Imagine exploring the ancient wonders of Hampi with a touch of magic. That’s what we delivered through our augmented reality setup. By blending panoramic views of Hampi’s historic sites with lively animations of Hindu gods and mythical creatures, we’ve turned traditional sightseeing into an immersive adventure that captivates and informs. 

The challenge

Traditional tours can only do so much in conveying the grandeur of historical sites. Hampi, with its rich tapestry of history and mythology, needed an upgrade. Our challenge was to transform conventional sightseeing into a dynamic, interactive journey that truly engages visitors with Hampi’s deep cultural roots. 

Design to reality

We created a unique experience using a motorized turntable and joystick controller, allowing visitors to navigate high-resolution augmented panoramas of Hampi. With just a touch, users could explore different locations and interact with animations that vividly brought these ancient sites to life.  

Our seamless integration of a dynamic rendering system and touch screen interface ensured a smooth and captivating experience that blended effortlessly with Hampi’s historic charm. 

The impact

Our immersive turntable setup has revolutionised the way people experience Hampi. Visitors now enjoy a richer, more engaging tour that mixes modern technology with ancient history.   

This innovative approach has enhanced the visitor experience and helped set a medium for how we connect people with the past, proving once again that we can turn any challenge into a memorable adventure.
