The challenge

The task at hand was ambitious—integrating complex educational themes into interactive exhibits that were not only engaging but also easy for kids to understand and enjoy. We needed to create experiences that would spark curiosity, encourage learning, and foster a deeper connection with the world around them.

Design to reality

ImmersionX took a strategic approach to deliver 17 custom-designed exhibits for the Discover Floor. These exhibits were carefully crafted to combine education and interaction, delivering a comprehensive learning experience. Key installations included:

  • Deep Dive Wall: An immersive display that allows children to interact with marine ecosystems, providing insights into ocean life and conservation.
  • Investigation Zone: A treasure hunt through themed rooms designed to encourage problem-solving and critical thinking, offering new challenges and discoveries in every space.
  • Water and Me Exhibit: An interactive display focused on water conservation, helping children track their water footprint and understand the importance of sustainability.
  • Interconnected Wall: A touch-based projection system illustrating the water cycle, offering an engaging way to understand water resource management through dynamic visuals.

Each exhibit and digital component were integrated into a custom content management system (CMS), giving the museum the flexibility to update content and evolve the exhibits as needed. Additionally, ImmersionX provided turnkey solutions for other areas, including an auditorium, learning lab, and performance atelier, ensuring a fully immersive and cohesive educational environment.

In addition to these interactive exhibits, ImmersionX designed and developed the museum’s website, ensuring a cohesive digital experience that complements the physical exhibits. The website provides detailed information about the exhibits, upcoming events, and ongoing educational programs, allowing visitors to engage with the museum even before they step inside.
